BLOOMING SOUTHPORT

Southport is one of Britain's most elegant resorts with wide boulevards, delightful parks, a fabulous Marine Lake and one of the longest piers in Britain.

Home to wide unspoiled beaches and many golf course including the magnificent Royal Birkdale. The delightful pavement cafes and many restaurants made it a superb place for just strolling around and enjoying the resort.

Southport Pier is the highlight of this resort including Marine Parade, South Pier, Ocean Plaza, cinemas and restaurants. Just take a stroll on the longest piers and enjoy the breezy day. The Marine Way Bridge connects the town centre to the seafront.

What amazed me is the colourful parks – watching the beautiful blooms of flowers at Victoria Park, at the town centre. Here, is where Southport Flower Show and Summer Classics events are held, its well-tended lawns are great for ball games and picnics. Southport has earned its reputation as the North West's floral resort due to its abundance of beautiful parks and gardens. 

VICTORIA PARK GARDENS

Another attractions is shopping at boutiques, designer names and high street brands found on Lord Street. It is Southport's very own Victorian canopied shopping boulevard, well known for its great shops and edged with picturesque gardens.
