RAMADHAN WITH DEPUTY EDUCATION MINISTER

 

IPOH: Some 60 media members attended the Deputy Education Minister’s Ramadhan Dinner held at the former Simpang Tiga Restoran, here.

 


 

Minister of Deputy Education 1 Datuk Dr Mah Hang Soon thanked the press (both social media and print media) for their effort in disseminating government policy and information to the people.

 


 

“The mass media plays an important role in the development of a country, and journalists should report correct information to the people,” he said. 

 


 

The event started off with a giving out of goodies to each media followed with a lucky draw session.

 


 

There was a greet and meet session between Dr Mah and the journalists after the breaking fast.

TOURISM MALAYSIA (NORTHERN) RAMADHAN WITH PRESS

 

IPOH: Some 80 travel-related personnel were treated to a Ramadhan Buffet held at The Haven Resort, here.

They were the media members and travel agencies.

The event was organized by Tourism Malaysia (Northern Region) and supported by wowcuti.my.

In conjunction with the Ramadhan Breaking Fast, there were 25 participants representing 10 travel agencies, from Kedah and Penang who joined the event.

 


 

During their 3D2N stay in Ipoh, the participants had an opportunity to experience the state’s tourism places namely The Haven, Lost World of Tambun (LWOT), TT5 Dredge and Ipoh City Tour.

Tourism Malaysia Northern Region deputy director M. Yoganthiran said the Ramadhan event aimed to foster relationship between the tourism industry with the travel agencies and media members.

“Tourism Malaysia with the support of local travel agencies have drawn up ten attractive packages prices as low as RM138 onwards, for travelling within the country, .

 


 

“Currently, people are not allowed to travel overseas due to the Covid-19 pandemic, thus we have adjusted our travel packages which showcase hills sites, beaches, city tour, arts and historical places for them.

“As for Perak, there are attractive packages namely Kuala Kangsar & Taiping Eco Tour, Teluk Intan Eco Tour, Taiping & Sepetang Day Trip, Gaharu Tea Valley, LWOT Staycation and Glamping, Ipoh/Penang Family Staycation, Kuala Kurau and Pangkor Island,” he said.

JOM BERBUKA WITH EXCELSIOR

 

IPOH: Hotel Excelsior Ipoh is offering a “Jom Berbuka” Ramadhan buffet until May 10, here.

The hotel is located at No. 43, Jalan Sultan Abdul Jalil, 30300, Ipoh.

There will be 60 items menus rotating for seven days daily.

The buffet will start off with appetizers, main course, grilled items and dessert.

For appetizer, there will be Ulam-Ulaman, Jeruk Jeruk, Bubur Lambuk, Rojak and Crackers.

The main course consists of Malay authentic, Chinese Cuisine, Western Delights and Nusantera Indonesia. 

 

RENDANG TOK

 

Signature dishes are – Rendang Tok, Chicken Rice (Chinese Style), Ikan Keli Salai Masak Lemak, Grilled Chicken Breast, Ayam Percik Kelantan, Spaghetti Bolognese, Broccoli Egg Sauce and Siew Pak Choy.

Desserts include kuih, cakes, jelly, pudding and fresh fruits.
