WORKING VISIT OF TOURISM DEPUTY MINISTER TO IPOH

 

IPOH: Tourism, Arts and Culture deputy minister Datuk Seri Dr. Santhara Kumar Ramanaidu’s first working trip to Ipoh, after been elected for the post recently.

The day trip saw Santhara visiting places such as Gunung Lang, Old Town, Lost World of Tambun, Pomelo Farm, Tasik Cermin and Gua Tempurung.

Santhara said that the purpose of the trip was to understand the product and services offered in the State, and to assist the state government in promoting it once the Travel Bubble destination start-off when the country had achieved 80% vaccination rate.

“There are many new products in the state, and we need to prioritize which are the products we will promote first.

“The theme park is one area, we may be promoting for domestic tourists as it is in a ‘control environment’, easier to manage followed with standard operating procedure (SOP) for visitors, here.

Meanwhile, State Tourism committee chairman Nolee Ashilin  Mohammed Radzi said that the state would open tourism activities in line with the announcement of the Federal or may be slightly earlier before the 80% achievement.

Also present was Datuk Bandar Datuk Rumaizi Baharin @ MD Daud.
