IPOH: Three hundred rubbish bin (120 liter) were distributed to residents of Taman Buntong Ria, here.
The giving away of rubbish bin was in conjunction with the ‘Cultivating Good Practice of Using Rubbish Bin’ programme organised by Ipoh City Council (MBI).
Guest-of-honour was Ipoh City Council secretary Ahmad Munir Ishak who launched the programme.
Also present were councillor A. Ganesan (Zon 7), MBI Senior Management & Operation director Musa Dun, MBI Health director Mohd Alias Kamaruddin and MBI Health Director assistant chief S. Manisegaran.
Ahmad said the programme aimed to educate the residents in Ipoh to cultivate the habit of keeping a clean healthy environment.
“One of MBI’s objective is to transform Ipoh into the cleanest city in the country by 2023.
“The council has selected Taman Buntong Ria (Zon 7) as a zon example to start off the cleanliness campaign around the Zon Buntong area.
