IPOH: The Ipoh City Council (MBI) gave away RM150 and a hamper each to 70 recipients in conjunction with the upcoming Hari Raya Adilfitri celebration, here.
Datuk Bandar Datuk Rumaizi Baharin @ Md Daud delivered the cash gift and hamper to ten MBI staff and 60 underprivileged people living in Ipoh.
The hampers were sponsored by Speedmart Supermarket comprises of rice, cooking oil and sugar.
In another event, Datuk Rumaizi Baharin gave away 2,250 packages of bubur lambuk (porridge) to the locals and MBI staff.
The cooking of the porridge started as early as 8am until 12 noon held at the MBI premises.
