IPOH: Some 377 personnel underwent a Covid-19 screening test to prepare themselves for the coming 14th State Legislative Assembly meeting, held from August 25 until 30, here.
Those who were involved in the screening test include – Menteri Besar, Ex-officio line, State Assembly Deputy YDP, State Assemblymen, Exco special officers, State Assembly Secretariat from SUK, Public Works Department officials, Information Department officials, police, Impiana Hotel staff, technical staff and cleaners.
For the first time, the state assembly meeting will be conducted via a bubble concept comprising of provision of accommodation, transport, additional space for meeting and requirement of daily swab tests.
Those involved in the sittings are required to stay in the Impiana Hotel Ipoh, followed with daily screen tests before proceeding to the meetings via transportation organised for them. The usage of private vehicles and e-hailing services are not allowed.
The restricted movement for four days is to minimise the risks of virus transmission and to quarantine areas if an individual is found infected by the virus, without disrupting the ongoing meeting.
