IPOH: The Ipoh City Council (MBI) gave away 300 food baskets worth RM40 under its Caring Programme to three representatives from Memory Lane.
The food baskets were sponsored by M/S Fuze Development ZK Sdn Bhd.
Datuk Bandar Datuk Rumaizi Baharin @ Md Daud and State Tourism committee chairman Datuk Nolee Ashilin Mohammed Radzi presented the food baskets to the representatives.
At the same time, MBI City Poverty Welfare Committee also gave 10 cupboards and one washing machine to Rumah Teduhan Kelana located at Jalan Dato Onn Jaafar, housing 220 homeless male in Ipoh City since its inception in 2017.
Rumaizi said that since the movement control order on March 18 last year until August 2021, MBI’s Caring Programme had spent more than RM750,000 to help reduce the burden of the underprivileged people, traders and MBI staff in Ipoh.
“MBI is also working closely with Econsave, Kuala Lumpur Kepong Bhd, Daboba Bhd and Bonanza Ventures Holding Sdn Bhd, in providing to the needy in the State,” he said.
