HOSPITAL AR-RIDZUAN’S SILVERVAX PROGRAMME

 

IPOH: The Menteri Besar of Perak Datuk Saarani Mohamad had made a visit to the Vaccination Centre (PPV) located at Hospital Ar-Ridzuan, in Greentown, here.

Saraani said the hospital is now running the SilverVax program which required payment for Covid-19 vaccination and focused mainly on private companies and GLC whereby companies can now purchase vaccine for their staff.

“The rate for two doses (Sinovac) is priced at RM388.

 


 

“For the successful implementation of SilverVax program, Majuperak is now working closely with Hospital Ar-Ridzuan as health partners and Pharmaniaga Berhad as the supplier of Sinovac vaccine.

“Currently, SilverVax programme is only available at Hospital Ar-Ridzuan and there are plans of providing vaccination services at Bazar Ipoh, involving a capacity of 600 person per day or 18,000 persons in a month.

“Silvervax programme is not meant to override the Covid-19 Industry Immunisation Programme cooperation of Public-Private (PIKAS) but to support the vaccination programme and to fasten the vaccination process for the people in Perak.

“There has been an increased in covid cases in Perak state here recently, and the SilverVax initiative is to assist in controlling the spread of the virus at working place.

 


 

“On August 4, some 564 workers had received their vaccination under SilverVax coming from several private companies and industries who registered with the hospital,” said Saraani.

He advised bosses of private companies in the State to register their workers to protect them from the virus as well as to help reduce the Covid-19 cases, here.

“Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Perak (PKNPK) acts as an agent coordinating the Perak Vaccination Programme with the Perak State Government and National CITF for ensuring the programme runs smoothly adhering to the guidelines.

 


 

On another issue, Saarani said that the Quarantine & Treatment Centre (PKRC) at Stadium Badminton was upgraded from 470 to 520 beds (maximum 600)

“The Quarantine Centre at Kolej Institut Latihan Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia Ulu Kinta is now catering to 570 beds.

“The recently open Quarantine Centre for Orang Asli at Kem PLKN Sinaran Suria Sungai has a capacity of 470 beds.

“The State Government is now preparing to set up PKRC Kompleks Rakan Muda Taiping (780 beds) followed with PKRC Private at Virgo Hotel Manjung (200) and PKRC Institut Latihan Statitik Malaysia, Sungkai (95).
