IPOH: Members of the Ipoh City Council, JPKK Bercham, JPP Zon 11 and KRT Taman Desa Kencana participated in the cleaning up of a jogging track held at a recreational field, in Bercham.
The cleaning project was led by councillor Albert Ho which involved clearing the field and tree cutting to avoid disaster of tree falling onto the joggers.
The recreational field measuring 300m (length) by 1.2 m (width) was constructed at Persiaran Bercham Selatan 10, Taman Desa Kencana.
Ho said that the idea of initiating a field was due to the increased in population in Bercham, and there is a need for a place for recreation.
“The residents here are advised to take care of the facilities provided at the field for their usage,” he said.
He also thanked Datuk Bandar Datuk Rumaizi Baharin @ Md Daud for permitting the construction of a jogging track.
Also present were – Bercham Village chief Raymond Choo, JPP Zon 11 chairman Cheng Ming Tat and Mah Nyeat Cheng, JPP secretary Chung Kok Heung and KRT Taman Desa Kencana chairman Leong Weng Fatt.
