MyAduan MBI

 

IPOH: The MyAduan MBI will be active and accessible to Ipoh folks from April 30 onwards.

The Ipoh City Council (MBI) will provide information and methods on using the MyAduan application, to ease the people in making a complain via the apps.

They can send their complains through sesawang, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter own by MBI.

 


 

Besides, MBI will test the effectiveness of the application and make improvement if there is any dissatisfaction found on the apps after two weeks of running the apps.

Datuk Bandar Datuk Rumaizi Baharin @ Md Daud said the council had recently received complaints on problems and issues, found in Ipoh City.

“According to the MBI 2020 report, about 21,766 complaint cases received and 84.97% from the complaints has been settled in two months, during the first quarter of 2021.

 


 

“Out of the 3,046 cases received, about 51.77% from the cases have been successfully settled by MBI.

“As a result, MBI has taken the initiative to upgrade the system of delivery on complaints and come up with MyAduan MBI platform whereby complaints can be made throughout the 24-hour by the people,” he said.

PRESERVING GUA MATSOORAT

 

IPOH:  Gua Matsoorat will be the first-ever controlled tourism in Malaysia for the purpose of preserving heritage of the cave structure.

Datuk Bandar Datuk Rumaizi @ Md Daud said during the full board meeting, that the council would allow a limited number of tourists into the cave, most likely four cavers at a time by April 1.

 


 

“Tourists need to apply for a permit and engage a guide for the cave expedition at Gua Matsoorat which is located at the Kinta Valley Geopark, here.

“The reasons for the tight regulation is to ensure whatever graffiti left behind by the pre-historic man and natural fossil found inside the cave will be preserved for history and heritage values.

“Besides Gua Matsoorat, another prehistoric Tambun Cave believes to exist some 3,000 years back, which features cave paintings of humans and animals, will also be preserved and identified as controlled tourism,” he said.

 


 

Earlier on, it was reported that Gua Matsoorat has been suspected of facing vandalism when fossil teeth were found damaged in the cave itself.

A video production crew had entered the cave for shooting. The damage to the teeth and partial jawbone were found damaged on March 18 at 12.30pm, which was reported by Perak Natural Heritage Geopark Tour Guides Association chairman Mohd Fadly Md Noor.

 


 

Rumaizi commented on the vandalism issue stating that currently the council is investigating on the matter whereby studies have to be made to see what methods is suitable to restore the damaged fossil.

“The matter is investigated by the Mineral & Geoscience Department of Ipoh which may take one month before the results are announced to us,” he said.

CLOSING CEREMONY OF COPYRIGHT & MUSIC VIDEO PRODUCTION WORKSHOP

 

IPOH: The COPYRIGHT & MUSIC VIDEO PRODUCTION workshop had attracted participants who have an interest to pursue a career in video and YouTube production held at Ipoh Town Hall, here

The two-day event was organized jointly by Ipoh City Council (MBI) and Luncai Emas Sdn Bhd with the support of National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (FINAS) and Konsortium Industri Rakaman Muzik Malaysia (IRAMA).

 


 

Guest of honour was Dato’ Dr. M. Nasir who gave away certificates to the participants.

M. Nasir also delivered two songs to the crowd during the closing ceremony of the event.

Luncai Emas Sdn Bhd excutive producer Sham Amir Hussain acts as a moderator for the workshop, alongside panelists Dato’ Jurey Latiff (Film Director), Jennifah Johari (Copyright Director) and Keon Omar (Luncai Emas Production Director).

 


 

FINAS director Zakaria Abdul Hamid said the music industry stays strong admist the Covid-19 pandemic and there is a continuous drive to improve the quality of music among artistes.

“FINAS has allocated RM30,000 for organizing the workshops, where they assist the creative industries which have been laid back due to the pandemic last year.

“The workshop aims to share knowledge enabling normal musician to turn professional, find new talents in music video, copyright law and to provide job opportunity to artistes,” he said. 




Meanwhile, Ipoh City councillor Nor Afzanizam Salleh said the participants were able to produce a video music clip during the two-day workshop, after having learnt how to produce quality YouTube.

“The workshop expose participants to technical aspect of producing quality YouTube and to help them make a living out of creativity.

“Although Ipoh City Council is not involved in the music industry yet it also assists in bringing in knowledge via workshop to those interest parties, to enable them in getting an income out of being a YouTuber.
