IPOH: The Rotary Club of Greentown (RCG) members had a tree planting ceremony in commemoration of K. Balasubramaniam held at St. Michael’s Institution, here.
Project organizing chairman Francis Vije said the gathering was to honour an Excellent Educator & Great Humanitarian K. Balasubramaniam who was one of the founding members of the RCG and the first president of the club.
“Being a very proud Principal of SMI Ipoh and the Charter President of RCI, this tree planting project encompasses him.
“During the project, there was a call for a donation of Covid-19 Test Kits whereby an old boy of SMI T. Kirthi contributed 100 sets to his alma mater,” he said.
Also present were – RCI president Dr Monesh, SMI Prinicipal Sit Wai Yin and S. Sanjeevi (wife of Balasubramaniam).
