IPOH: Some 10,000 workers from designated retailer section will receive their Covid-19 vaccination via the Retailer Industry Vaccination Programme (RIVAC) held at AEON Midtown Falim, here.
The programme was led by Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) and promoted by the Perak Chinese Chamber of Commerce (PCCCI), and AEON management.
Besides, the programme was initiated by councillor Albert Ho, supported by State Health committee chairman Mohd Akmal Kamaruddin and Ipoh City Council Datuk Bandar Datuk Rumaizi Baharin @Md Daud.
Rumaizi said that this was the first shopping mall carrying out vaccination for the people in Ipoh, and the programme would last for one week to help achieve herd immunity as soonest.
“When Perak moves to Phase 3 and 4 under the National Recovery Plan, industries and businesses will operate in full force, followed with recovery of economy in the state.
Meanwhile, Albert Ho hopes that the shopping mall will continue to serve as a Vaccine Delivery Centre (PPV), after the RIVAC programme has ended.
