MEDIA APPRECIATION TRIP

I am indeed honored to be invited to the “Media & Industry Appreciation Dinner 2019”, organised by Tourism Malaysia in conjunction with the coming Visit Malaysia Year 2020 campaign.

The 3D2N event includes a familiarization trip to get-to-know Kuala Selangor.

HELLO! KUALA SELANGOR

 DAY 1:

Some 350 guests attended a fun filled Media & Industry Nite which is designed as a platform for networking among media members and tourism industry players, nationwide.

MEDIA & INDUSTRY APPRECIATION DINNER

Every guest is presented an award plaque entitled “You are now a Travel Media Buddy” as a form of appreciation for the efforts in contributing to the tourism industry, in the country.

DAY 2:

Waking up as early as 5.30 am – getting dressed in a three-quarter pants and loose blouse, I am ready for one of my dream destination in Malaysia – Sky Mirror.

PARIS EFFEL TOWER OF SKY MIRROR

This is my 'first' time to this awesome Sky Mirror and obviously I am gonna enjoy myself by clicking shots of reflection of oneself, here.

NORTHERN REGION TEAM

We reach the jetty by 9am catch a speed boat which takes about 30 minutes to reach the site of the Sky Mirror. We are then given about 90 minutes to explore Sky Mirror.

LET'S RUN!!

Interestingly, my team media members from Northern Region are 'sporting' and 'creative' buddies, and we created a number of curious images for photo shot, on this memorable day.

LET'S FLY WITH ME!

Sky Mirror is the name given to reflect a mirror image of the sky on an island that emerges during the day time. A sand bank emerges creating an island which is shallow with a few inches of sea water that happens from mid to late morning.

WHY ARE YOU SO SMALL!

The effect creates a mirror image of the sky and any subject standing there – to snap shots of oneself, posing with various position – jumping with joy, using props effect (umbrella, toys, scarf) or just any pose comfortable with oneself.

HI! MR DINOSAUR!

After lunch, there is a detour to the Sungai Sireh Homestay where participants are provided an opportunity to indulge in activities such as coloring a batik, visiting old house gallery, fishing in padi fields and planting herbs tree.
