IPOH: Datuk Bandar Datuk Rumaizi Baharin @ Md Daud gave away 480 food packages courtesy of Ipoh City Council (MBI) and Econsave to volunteers stationed at the Vaccination Centre PPV Stadium Indera Mulia, here.
He handed over the food packages to Kinta District Department of Health and Medicine officer Dr Nirwan Oksa.
Also present were councillor Khoo Boon Chuan, Econsave Operation Manager Northern 2 Chua Yong Chiang and Econsave Jelapang Manager Shah Effendy Rosman.
Rumaizi said that the food aid was a symbol of appreciation MBI towards the medical team and volunteers, who were a part of the front liner combating the Covid-19 pandemic.
“This is the first PPV centre benefited from the aid, and we will continue to distribute food stuff to other PPV, in stages,” he said.
Meanwhile, Khoo said that there were a total of 3,600 people vaccinated in the PPV Stadium Indera Mulia today (July 29), comprising of 2,700 (first dose) and 900 (second dose).
