IPOH: The Ipoh City Council (MBI) has been going around disinfecting the markets in Ipoh since the Covid-19 pandemic, last year.
Datuk Bandar Datuk Rumaizi Baharin @ Md Daud said the market was one of the places which needs to be disinfected regularly and the council would be doing it on stages.
“As from March 18 until December 31, 2020, a total of 136 activities of disinfection was carried out in the market areas.
“This disinfecting work continues on from January 1 until May 31, 2021 where a total of 47 activities of disinfecting done in the market.
“Out of the 19 markets completed are in Simpang Pulai, Canning Garden, Bercham, Kpg Tawas, Tanjung Rambutan and a wholesaler market among others,” he said.
