IPOH: The Ipoh City Council (MBI) appreciated its
Ipoh folks for being “Good Pay Master” with lucky draw prizes, as they had made
payment for their one-year assessment promptly.
The event
themed “Lucky Draw Session for Assessment 2020” took place on June 19, whereby
the council had picked up 330 slips followed with 30 slips for main top prizes via live
FB, here.

The first
prize comprised of Proton Saga 1.3MT first prize followed with YSuku motorcycle,
110 cc motorcycle, smartphone, electrical goods, home deco and 300 consolation
prize in the form of a shopping voucher of RM100.
Ipoh Mayor
Datuk Rumaizi Baharin @ Md Daud was present to pick the slips for the top
prizes.

Datuk
Rumaizi said that for this year, there was an increased of 14.5% made up of
148,174 bills paid with a total amount of RM39.45 million collected by MBI
compared to 129, 702 bills and RM31.9 million collection, on assessment made
last year.

“This is a
positive sign that Ipoh folks had paid their bills punctually after the
introduction of the Lucky Draw,” he said.

On another
matter, the council is encouraging ‘Go Green’ concept in the city to help curb
pollution in its surroundings.
To start off
the Go Green campaign, MBI will allow 30 cents discount on food items bought
from its canteen provided staff or customers bring along their own food container.

In addition,
a sum of 20 cents will be charged for staff who wishes for plastic containers
when packing back food items.
