LOST WORLD OF TAMBUN RE-OPENS


IPOH – JULY 4 : Lost World of Tambun (LWOT) welcome its first 1,000 visitors for the first 45 minutes upon opening of it's water theme park, here.

After a long lapse of three months closure due to Movement Control Period (MCO), visitors were eager to return to the popular destination to enjoy a day of outdoor activities.

The Government had recently announced that theme park are now allowed to open on July 1.

LWOT's new theme “Play with Confidence, Stay with Confidence” reflects the management follows strict guidelines for the operation of its theme park to make it a safe tourism spot, where visitors can enjoy with confidence.

Visitors have to follow the new normal for example temperature checking, scanning/writing names and contacts, wearing face masks and social distancing.

LWOT general manager Nurul Nuzairi said the management is following the standard operating procedure for pools by testing the water every two hours, to make sure the chlorine is maintained at a certain level.

The chlorine level must be maintained in order to kill virus and bacteria in the water.

Currently, we are allowing a maximum capacity of 8,000 visitors per day compared to 38,000 visitors prior to MCO.

All areas of our park are open as of now, including the swimming pool and petting zoo,” he said.

Guest-of-honour was State Tourism Committee chairman Datuk Norlee Ashkin Mohammed Radzi.

Also present were Datuk Bandar Datuk Rumaizi Baharin @ Md Daud, Tourism Perak chief executive officer Nurmalis Musa and Perak Tourist Association chairman Datuk Haji Mohd Odzman Abd Kadir.
