IPOH INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION OPENS

 

IPOH: The Ipoh International Convention (IICC), Bond Suites, IICC Co-Working Space will be open for business, next month.

It is a tri-party collaboration between Ipoh City Council (MBI), Bond Holdings Sdn Bhd and Sycal Bhd aimed at transforming an ‘old charm’ Ipoh into the city of future and taking Ipoh to greater heights to attract more business tourists into the city.

The Bond Holdings Sdn Bhd, is a property developer providing a modern township in Ipoh while Sycal Bhd is a construction group.

The parties signed a memorandum of understanding on the cooperation witnessed by Menteri Besar of Perak Datuk Saarani Mohamad.

Datuk Saarani said the presence of IICC would provide venue opportunity to locals and foreigners in carrying forward businesses all integrated under one roof.

Datuk Bandar Datuk Rumaizi Baharin @ Md Daud said the focal point of the collaboration will begin with the management of the IICC, a 28,000 sq ft facility that includes a multi-purpose events all to accommodate annual dinners, corporate talks, trade exhibitions, community bazaars, conferences and workshop.  

“Bond Holdings manages the brand new luxurious Bond Suites, an open concept suite accompanied by a range of on-site facilities designed to offer the perfect lifestyle.

“Connected with the Bond Suites, is the IICC Co-Working Space an ideal facility for young professionals who want to live and work and enjoy the exuberance of city lives, and also to attract them back to work in Perak.

“It comes with ultra-fast internet connection, shared amenities and networking environment,” he said.

Meanwhile, Bond Holdings Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Ong Teng Boon said they were excited to work with MBI in its vision to create a cleaner, greener and a developed city, and Sycal Bhd the main contractor for the project.

Also present were -   Perak Speaker Datuk Mohammad Zahir Abdul Khalid, Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) chairman Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir, Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Ali Hamsa and Sycal Bhd director Datuk Seow Yong Chin.
