WINDSOR GREAT PARK

 

Windsor Great Park is a 2,020 ha site including a deer park to the south of Windsor Town on the border of Berkshire and Surrey in England.

The park was a private hunting ground of Windsor Castle dates back to mid-13th century. 

 


 

Historically, the park covered Windsor Forest and Windsor Royal Park opens to the public, free of charge from dawn to dusk.

A recommended site for photography is the King George 3 statue, at the end of the long walk of the Windsor Great Park.

 


 

The Park is Grade 1 listed on the Register of Historic Parks and gardens. Windsor Forest and Great Park is a Site of Special Scientific Interest.
