IPOH: Some 45 residents from the Chinese community received CNY aid amounting to RM12,000 in conjunction with CNY Celebration organised by Ipoh City Council (MBI)'s Prihatin programme, here.
The recipients hailed from Bercham, Kg. Simee and Pasir Pinji.
Datuk Bandar Datuk Rumaizi Baharin @ Md Daud presented the gifts in the form of cash and food boxes courtesy of MBI, Yayasan Perak and Perbadanan Menteri Besar, to 23 household in Bercham and Kg. Simee.
Also present were Councillor Albert Ho and Council’s Secretary Zuraina Kamarul Ariff.
They also gave away gift courtesy of MBI and Lion Club, to 22 household in Pasir Pinji accompanied by Councillor Dr Richard Ng and Zuraina Kamarul Ariff.
Datuk Rumaizi said that the event aimed to provide assistance to the community in need during festive seasons, in Ipoh City.
