IPOH: Student Young Bok Mun emerged winner for a Talent Time Competition themed “Ode To Old Ipoh”, organized by Sharpened Word, here.
Young, 18, from St Michael’s Institution displayed a fantastic juggling movement using props like ladder, plates and plastic knife, on stage.

His swift juggling act produced a ‘wow’ factor where the audience gave a thumbs up for his final act of juggling a ladder on his forehead.
Young told the reporters that he got interested in juggling at the age of 12, and the act of ladder juggling was picked up last year.

“I used to follow closely the real British circus when they were in Ipoh, watching their movement and acts and learning skills from them,” said Young whose ambition is to be a video producer.
He walked away with RM500.
MOHD FOZAI PERFORMING A JOGET DANCE
Second placing was Mohd Fozai Joned who performed a joget dance while third placing was guitarist Chole Chai who sang an original song composed by herself.
Both won RM400 and RM300, respectively.
For the fourth and fifth placing were Kara Kar Yi (singing) and Christine (modern ballet), who received RM200 and RM150.
There was a total of 13 participants performing all kinds of talent namely singing, modern ballet, rapping, magic show, juggling and drawing.
SW’s organisor Pak Peter said this was the first session of SW event aimed to provide a platform for budding artists to showcase their talent on stage.
“The criteria for winning include 80% (judges) and 20% (popular vote), judging on presentation skills and WoW factor,” he said.
CHRISTINE PERFORMING A MODERN BALLET
Meanwhile, Tourism Perak chief executive officer Nurmalis Musa gave away sponsored cash prizes worth RM1,500 to the winners of the Talent Time.
