IPOH: Some 300 students received education aid during a programme titled “Back to School” organised jointly by MBI, Puncak Emas Infra Sdn Bhd and Canggih Sutera Sdn Bhd.
Datuk Bandar Datuk Rumaizi Baharin @ Md Daud gave away the education items to students Muhammad Dzulkarnain Dzulkafli and Muhamad Naufal Jerfan Mohd Zainudin who represented the 250 students whose parents are MBI staff, to receive the schooling aid.
Each student received a school bag, a pair of shoes and socks, uniform and a set of stationary.
Rumaizi said that event was aimed to reduce the monetary burden of parents when school reopens as well as to perform corporate social responsibility towards children of MBI staff and children from the B40 category occupying flats under the People’s Housing Programme (PPR).
Also present were Puncak Emas Infra Sdn Bhd general manager Datuk Mazelan Mohamed and Canggih Sutera Sdn Bhd managing director Rozamir Zulkifli.
Earlier on, a total of 50 students from Buntong Harmoni Flat (25) and Kinta Heights Flat (25) also received education aid from MBI.
