Ipoh: The Ipoh Tourist Information Centre (ITIC) re-opens for tourists who wish to gather information of tourism products available in Perak, here.
The centre is open from 9am to 5pm daily, located at Jalan Bandar, Ipoh.

Perak State Tourism committee chairman Datuk Nolee Ashilin Mohammed Radzi, Datuk Bandar Datuk Rumaizi Baharin @ Md Daud, Tourism Perak chief executive officer Nurmalis Musa, Perak Tourism Association president Datuk Hj Mohd Odzman Abd Kadir and Ipoh Heritage Society former president Mohd Taib Mohamed were present for the ribbon cutting ceremony for the reopening of the centre.
Later, the guests detoured the centre and gallery section to view the exhibits, books, audio room, souvenirs and historical items displayed here.
Nolee said that the Ipoh City Council (MBI) assisted the state government in the upgrading and renovation work for ITIC, which started on February 10, and completed by November 20, last year.
“Today marks the re-launching of ITIC, as we can see there are new modern design incorporated around the centre, focused on Kinta Geo Park, Ipoh and Perak tourism images.
“ITIC is the meeting spot where all tourists gathered here, before they embarked on the Old Town Heritage Trail, and they can also spend time sourcing for pamphlet or souvenir, here.
“There is also an audio room fitted with tourist-related video shows and can be rented out as a classroom for students to do research,” she said.
