Some 100 underprivileged children attended a “Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony” organised by Impiana Hotel Ipoh.

The children aged from 3 to 20, hailed from Vision Home, Praise Grils Home, The Salvation Army Boys’ Home and Pertubuhan Pengurusan Pusat Jagaan 1 Malaysia Perak.

Guests staying at the Hotel and media members were also invited to the colourful Christmas fun filled event to make the evening a more happy occasion for the children.

The event started off with Santa Claus and Satarina making a grand entrance surrounded by the children. Both Santa were seen giving away presents to children while sharing joy with them.

Highlight of event was the lighting up of the hotel’s 12-feet tree followed with a group photograph.

Impiana Hotel Group director of marketing & communications Shirley Hoo said that the management hosted the xmas party to reach out to the society and the bring joy to the less fortunate.

“The management have committed to reaching out in a spirit of volunteerism through the charitable and non-government organisation, especially on festive occasions,” she said.

Later, the children were seen playing party games and they were treated to a sumptuous buffet feast prepared by the hotel’s culinary team.
