CYCLING TOWARDS A HEALTHY LIFE

IPOH: CycleDios Management Sdn Bhd is now offering a range of cycling activities, held at Kinta River Walk (also called Love Lane), here.

CycleDios general manager Camees Foong said that the company has been promoting its 2D1N 'CycleDios Tour Package' involving cycling activities through travel agencies in Ipoh.

READY TO CYCLE

“Tourists who signed up for this package will get a 2-3 hours cycling activities at the Love Lane.

“There will be eight types of cycling packages namely City Angel (single bike), Sweet Angel (two persons + one child), Double Angel (two persons/front and back), Child Angel (one adult + one child) , Twins Angel (two persons/left and right sides), Triple Angel (one line), Family Angel (four adults + two kids) and Travel Angel (two persons/semi-electric trishaw).

"Prices for the cycling activities are between RM2 – RM35 per type.

Alternatively, those who want to sign up personally, can do so via downloading cycledios Apps or manually (top up RM3).

"During the duration that they had signed up for, they can either cycle along the 160 meters Love Lane or tied up with the Hop-On Hop-Off Bus which required pre-booking available on weekends only.

“At the Love Lane itself, one can discover the beauty of nature including rain forest trees, habitat, squirrels, fishes, birds and an archaic mural art," she said.

Meanwhile, Kepayang state assemblyman Dr Ko Chung Sen said that the state government had recently installed lighting bulbs along the 160-m Kinta River Walk, to enhance the area with 'lively activities', 'safety' and to attract more tourists, here.

“We should promote our own Kinta River as every state has its own river, and we plan to retain the beautiful scenic river walk comprising of flora and fauna, birds, bird nest, fishes, exotic trees and habitats living here.

CULTURAL EVENT

“Currently, we are doing the essential with low cost maintenance by stages - which include grass cutting, tidying the area, tar the road and putting up love signage.

“We want to make this place not only for exercise which promotes healthy living but also promoting cultural events such as Moon Cake Festival, Ipoh Food Fair, Farmers' Market and Chinese New Year events, held here,” he said.
