SWANZY
LAKE DISTRICT
The
Lake District is England's largest National Park and has inspired
more poetry than any other area of English landscape.
Famous
for its lakes, mountains and 19th century poets, the Lake
District is the most visited National Park in United Kingdom.
The
Lake District also known as the Lakes or Lakeland, is a mountainous
region in North West England. It is associated with William
Wordsworth and other Lake Poets and also with Beatrix Potter and John
Ruskin.
It
is now designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2017.
TOURIST FEEDING THE SWANS |
The
Lake District is a home to a variety of wildlife, due to its range of
varied topography, lakes and forests – red squirrel, collonies of
sundew and butterwort, golden eagles, endangered species of fish,
and swans among others.
Highlight,
is visiting the England's largest lake, Windermere to Bowness dubbed
as World of Beatrix Potter attraction and lakeside walk.
BOATING ACTIVITIES AT WINDERMERE LAKE |
Interestingly,
visitors will come in hundreds daily to the Windermere Lake – to
have a breather of the lake fresh air coupled with the presence of
the thousands of swan around this area.
The
Windermere Lake is definitely a stop over for me – to take
photographs with the swans mingling around the lake areas.
