GET TO KNOW IPOH HERITAGE TRAIL

 

IPOH: Members of the travel industries had recently participated in a “Walkabout Heritage Trail” which covers Old Town areas, in Ipoh.

The event was jointly organized by Ipoh City Council (MBI), Tourism Perak and Perak Tourism Association.

Ipoh Mayor Datuk Rumaizi Baharin @Md Daud said the walkabout programme aimed to highlight the main tourism spots in the city, share information among industry players and finding ways to improve tourism products available in the city.

“We hope to make Ipoh one of the most popular tourist cities in Malaysia via highlighting a variety of its tourism products, by the year 2025.

“MBI will be adding more mural paintings and repairing buildings located along the heritage trail in the city,” he said.

The trail took participants to view the mural paintings, Clock Tower and Ipoh Padang.

 Also present were Perak Tourism chief executive officer Nurmalis Musa and Perak Tourism Association president Datuk Odzman Abd Kadir.
