KINTA RIVERFRONT'S PARENT'S DAY CELEBRATION

IPOH: The Shinjuku Japanese Cuisine restaurant is holding a dual celebration themed “Parent's Day Celebration”, here.

The restaurant is located at Kinta Riverfront Hotel, Jalan Lim Bo Seng, Ipoh.
There will be two sessions comprising of Mother's Day (May 1 – 13) followed with Father's Day (June 1 – 17).
 
Japanese Executive Chef Adrian Gan will be preparing six ala-carte special menu namely Red Snapper Saikyo Miso, Special Fried Rice, Tara Tempura, Salmon Tataki, Spider Rice Paper Maki and Asari Butter Yaki.

SALMON TATAKI

It's signature dish is Salmon Tataki comprises of half-cooked salmon topped with caviar Tataki. 
 
TARA TEMPURA
 
The Tara Tempura dish - there is a mini codfish with sauce (one portion x four pieces), while the Special Fried Rice consists of seafood (salmon squid, prawns) topped with Teppanyaki Unagi (one portion equivalent to 4 servings).

 Another interesting dish is the Spider Rice Paper Maki which comes with soft shell crab rice paper maki, cabbage and topped with frying fish egg, goes well with spicy sauce.

 The Red Snapper Saikyo Miso comprises of red snapper saikyo miso and black sesame sauce.

Meanwhile, the hotel's Moon River Bar & Grill is promoting “Mother's Day Celebration” dinner set on May 13.

Guests will get a choice of either Combo Set A or Combo Set B, suitable for two persons.

Combo Set A – is made up of Yakitori (chicken) x six pieces, Spaghetti Aglio Olio with Pop Corn Chicken and French Fries, priced at RM59 nett per set.

KINTA RIVER FRONT'S MOTHER'S DAY BUFFET CUM RAMADHAN BUFFET

 IPOH: In the month of May, let's celebrate Mother's Day with Love!

Do pamper your mum to a choice of either Buffet Hi-Tea or Buffet Dinner, organised by Kinta River Front Hotel, on May 13.

The hotel's Palong Coffee House is preparing 80 mouth-watering dishes including appertizer, soup, main courses and desserts specially for Mother's Day.

KRF TEAM SHOWCASING A VARIETY OF MOTHER'S DAY CUM RAMADHAN DISHES

For a start, do try out it's range of appetizer – assorted fresh garden salad, kerabu manga, fruit salad (rojak), roasted beef platter, tomato mozzarella drizzled with pesto, spring roll, oriental chicken salad, kerabu sotong and pasembor.

There will also be a wide display of main course dishes comprising of Pineapple fried rice, Spring roll, Nonya Fried Chicken Inchikabin, Deep Fried Dory with Thai dipping, traditional Chicken Pandan, Hong Kong style steamed seabass, Chinese butter prawn with oats and Gartin cheesy broccoli with almond, among others.

Desserts are plentiful including mixed tropical fruits, cream caramel, cream brulee, tiramisu, kuih muih Melayu, assorted cream puff, ice cream, strawberry cake, mango pudding, bubur pulut hitam, ABC with condiments and chocolate mousse.

In addition, there will be live action stall serving curry puff, goreng pisang, Penang laksa, chicken murtabak with vegetable dhalca and prawn mee.

Guests will also be entertained with games, lucky draw and songs.

The coffee house will also be having a “Ramadhan Buffet Dinner” promotion from May 15 until June 17, from 7pm to 10.30pm.

The Chef's recommendation dishes are – roasted whole lamb, ayam masak halia, daging masak kicap, rendang ayam pedas, Japanese beancurd with Thai sauce, green curry chicken, grill half shell mussels, cucur udang (prawn fritters), stir-fry ginger beef, rojak buah, chilli crab and satay.

The Mother's Day Buffet Hi-Tea is priced at RM45 nett (adult) and RM24 nett (senior citizen/children), while the Buffet Dinner it is priced at RM55 nett (adult) and RM25 (senior citizen/children).

Early birds (purchase between April 25 - May 5), they will get to pay only RM40 nett (adult) for the Buffet Hi-Tea, and RM50 nett (adult) for the Buffet Dinner.

SYEUN HOTEL IPOH RAMADHAN BUFFET IN CLASSIC STYLE


IPOH: Syeun Hotel is delighted to once again host a feast of local classic cuisine speciality for its coming Ramadhan buffet promotion.

TOWER REGENCY'S SELERA PERAK RAMADHAN

IPOH: Tower Regency Hotel will be promoting its evergreen buffet line themed “Selera Perak Ramadhan” from May 17 until June 14, here.

Guests here, will get to savour 50 dishes comprising of starter, main courses, desserts and coffee.

To start off, there is a salad corner which showcases a range of ulam ulam – kerabu kacang botol, kerabu tauge, kerabu daun selum, kerabu pepega and kerabu perut.

 It is followed with mouth-watering main course dishes like rendang tok, kari daging cincang, gulai lemak ikan, udang sambal petai, ikan tempoyak, ayam masak merah, asam pedas ikan pari bandi which goes well with tomato or briyani rice.

CREW SKILLS CULINARY SCHOOL OF ASIA

IPOH: Students of Crew Skills Culinary School of Asia joint-hands with the guidance of Chef Joao Melo to prepare a Portuguese Cuisine for its guests, here.

Guest Chef Joao Melo, originated from Portugal, cooked up a sumptuous fine dining dishes comprising of a soup, starter bread, main course and desserts.

The starter dish Prato Incial include Tapenade, Massa Tenra Puff, Chikpeas & Tuna Salad and Grilled Squid & Romesco Sauce.

 It follows with a vegetable type of soup called Caldo Verde.

Its managing director Subramaniyam Pillay said that the Portugal Cuisine was one of the Master Chef Series, organised by the culinary school, aimed to provide a platform for guests to enjoy the dishes from different country.

 Currently, we have 150 students pursuing our World Chef Culinary Diploma course which is a two-year programme, to learn how to cook professionally, bakery, dietary and health and safety practices.

After graduation, the students will received world recognised qualifications namely Culinary Solutions Australia, City & Guilds and World Chef certification.

They will be taught in a small sized class of 15 students, as well as training by two chefs in practical classes.

One of the advantage - is that the students will be secured with a job before graduation either locally or overseas.

After obtaining our certificate, the students will also be qualified for a skill migration in Australia or Singapore, where they can get to work in high-class hotels,” he said.

IMPIANA “CITARASA KAMPUNG” RAMADAN BUFFET

The popular Ramadan Buffet is back again!

Impiana Hotel Ipoh (IHI) will be offering its Ramadan buffet themed “Citarasa Kampung”, from May 17- June 14, here.

The buffet line will showcase 250 dishes comprises of appertiser, main dishes and dessert.

There will also be a 'live-action' stall titled the Bakar Station where guest can find grilled mutton, seafood, kambing and ayam golek berampah among others.

For a start, try out the range of appetiser like ulam ulam, salad, porridge (bubur lambuk) and prawn fritters (cucur udang).

Meanwhile, the main ramadan buffet will then feature a variety of mouthwatering dishes including nasi briyani, kambing masala, Warisan Rendang Tok Man, sambal petai udang, fish head curry, ikan patin masak tempoyak, crab curry, gulai daging batang pinang, curry chicken, assam pedas gulai kawah and sup tulang rawan.

Not to be missed is an extensive selection of cakes and Malay traditional delicacies namely dodol panas, tapai pulut asli, ondeh ondeh, kueh lapis, and kueh cempedak.

The buffet ramadan is priced at RM78 nett (adult) and RM55 net (child), will be served from 6.30pm until 10pm, held at its coffee house.

In addition, the Impiana Ballroom will also be open as an additional venue for the breaking of fast.

The stalls-concept bazaar style 'Citarasa Kampung' will highlight a variety of 'buka puasa' specialities such as Sup Tulang Rawan, Bubur Lambuk, 7 Gulai Kawah Asli Perak, Cucur Beraneka and Murtabak Pak Wan.

 The ballroom itself can accommodate 350 persons, will be available from now to June 14. Priced at RM65 (adult) and RM45 nett (child)
