BVH GROUP CONTINUES TO SUPPORT VULNERABLE COMMUNITIES

 

IPOH: Bonanza Venture Holdings (BVH) has reach out to more people in need, giving out much needed daily essentials to vulnerable families and orphanages in Ipoh and Batu Gajah.

As part of its outgoing commitment to support the community, BVH distributed additional care packs to 30 families going through tough times due to the pandemic at the Buntong Harmoni Flats, Ipoh. Each pack contained food items such as rice, cooking oil, noodles and cereal.

The BVH team also visited the Pusat Jagaan Pertubuhan Kanak-Kanak Cacat Setia in Silibin, Ipoh to deliver food items and cleaning supplies for its 36 residents.

The team similarly delivered essential supplies to the 42 residents at Rumah Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak Cacat in Batu Gajah.

BVH Executive Director of Operations Edwin Tan said BVH, an Ipoh-based holdings company, which includes Kinta Properties, Meru Valley Resort, Ban Hoe Seng Auto and Bonanza Educare, has been supporting vulnerable families and individuals affected by the pandemic through various funding and volunteer initiatives.

“We are proud to support 350 vulnerable families, throughout the pandemic.

“Teams that are normally serving golfers and tourists have been using their skills to source and deliver care packages and feed volunteers at PCSH’s vaccine drive.

“Meanwhile, our education team is delivering free tuition lessons to primary and secondary students,” he said.

BVH JOINT VENTURE WITH MBI TO SUPPORT NEEDY

 

IPOH: Bonanza Venture Holdings (BVH) is joining force with Ipoh City Council (MBI) in “MBI Cares” programme to distribute essential food supplies to 100 vulnerable families, in Ipoh.

The care packs are distributed to families living in Waller Court, Kinta Heights Flats and the Buntong Harmony Flats.

 

 

Each essential care pack contains 18 items such as rice, noodles, bean, garlic and oil, alongside with shampoo, toothpaste, shower gel and a toy for the children.

Datuk Bandar Datuk Rumaizi Baharin @ Md Daud said this was the first time the council had joint venture with BVH as a private sector through ‘MBI Caring’ programme to provide support to the needy in the community.

 

 

“The council will continue to help the poor if the movement control order is prolong, whereby the group selected to benefit are from those underprivileged or those affected by business turn down.

“As of June 4, the council have gave away 750 packs to assist the needy during enhanced movement order period, in Ipoh.

 

 

“In addition, MBI also delivered 200 food packages to residents living in EMCO areas namely Kg. Dato’ Ahmad Said Tambahan 2, Kg. Sg, Tapah Tambahan and Kg Jelapang Baru,” he said.

Rumaizi added that the council working together with the private sector has implemented over 15 projects under the ‘MBI Caring’ programme with an allocation of more than RM50,000 to aid the needy, especially the poor and needy people.

"In addition, Kinta Properties also donated 150 food packages to MBI staff and Ipoh folks affected with the Covid-19 pandemic to reduce their burden especially those living in the flats during movement control order 3.0.

"The packages contain rice, cooking oil, flour, sardine, sugar, tooth paste and tooth brush," he said.

 

 

SCI CHARITABLE EFFORT

 

IPOH: Some 50 students of the School of Accounting had organized a charitable event themed “One Man, One Effort” held at Sunway College Ipoh, here.

 

LAUNCHNG OF THE 'ONE MAN, ONE EFFORT'

 

The one-day event aimed to raise RM1,000 whereby the proceed will be channeled to An-Nur Maizarah Orphanage Home, Chemor.

 

ITEMS FOR SALE

 

The students set up a booth to sell book marks, towel, tissue box, cups and a photography booth.
