CARNIVAL 2019
LENGGONG:
More than 4,500 people attended the “Lenggong Carnival 2019”,
held at Dataran Lenggong.
Guest
of honour was State Public Utilities, Infrastructure, Agriculture
and Entrepreneur committee chairman Abdul Yunus Jamhari who
represented Menteri Besar of Perak Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu.
Also
present was Ministry of Tourism & Culture (MOTAC) deputy chief secretary
Saraya Arbi.

Abdul
Yunus said that this was the seventh carnival organised by the state
in conjunction with promoting the importance and uniqueness of the
Heritage Site of Lenggong Valley, which has been included in UNESCO
status, on June 30, 2012.
“The
three-day carnival aimed to create awareness among the community on
the understanding of protecting and caring for the heritage site,
which plays a crucial role in promoting tourism for the state of
Perak, “ he said.

Later, there was a presentation of certificates to winners of essay and art competition.
Guests
were then guided to a tour around the exhibition area.
